That's interesting.

On December 29, I entered a fifth transaction (for the month) against a
position. That fifth transaction was a sell.

The other transactions consisted of two separate dividends and two separate
"other expenses" (which happened to be a foreign tax withhold).

It was after that that my Money started crashing.

The toolbar symptom mention, but its just a suspicion. It would
still be worthwhile for Brent to try changing the start page, and
removing the that investment module from the "home" page as you
suggest.

The problem is not the number of open positions. It's the number of
transactions against a single investment.

In my case it was the "Investment Performance" section. I had added a number
of positions which were reflected.

However, today I was able to re-enable that section, and Money seems to be
working OK.

It makes me wonder if there is some limit on the number of open positions in
that section.

Several of us have had this problem due to corruption of something on the Home
Page.

Have you tried restoring from your backup?
Have you done the file repair?

If you can open the program by OPENing a test file (e.g. sample.mny), then you
may be able to change your home page to something else. Then see if you can
open your original file. Alter your settings so that, by trial and error, you
may be able to figure out which item(s) on the home page are causing a problem.
