Didn't seem relevant at the time as I don't use a passport account with Money (and never will) and had no problem signing in to Money. -- Tom Porterfield |

| The last dialog after the update is installed does say: "If you have problems signing in to Money after installing this update, please restart your computer and try again" Yes, it does not explicitly state all of the symptoms you mention, but it's all basically related. If Money cannot detect the internet then you'll get the symptoms mentioned as well as the inablility to sign in to Money "online". -Mark "Tom Porterfield" <tpporter[at]mvps.org> wrote in message news 6AB5E08-5B98-440A-A05B-0E61FF3A9E7A[at]microsoft.com...- quote - > Just a heads up in case anyone else experiences this problem. > Running Money 2007 on Vista. | Just a heads up in case anyone else experiences this problem. Running Money 2007 on Vista. I was prompted to install SP2 last night when I loaded Money. I did so successfully with no apparent problems. This morning when I tried to update data from my bank, it would always fail. Experimenting showed that any attempt by Money to access the internet in any way, whether updating quotes, getting data from my financial institution, or just trying to browse the web by typing an address in the field in Money would all fail. I don't reboot the PC unless required to do so, and the SP2 install never mentioned any need to reboot. But after trying several times throughout the day to update my account information with no success, I figured let's reboot and see what happens before posting a question to this group for help. Upon rebooting Money now once again can download data from my bank as well as do all other internet related activity. So just an FYI that if you have installed SP2 and Money is no longer able to do anything over the internet, try rebooting your PC. -- Tom Porterfield |
