| Is the no transactions marked R an assertion or a confirmed fact? If you've never balanced the account and Money can't agree between the balance genie and the account details what the starting balance is, this would be very odd. Not that very odd things don't happen with alarming regularity in Money, but they usually tend to be in deep recesses of the program. (Budget Planners is a favorite location for truly perverse behavior. The Balance Genie, not so much.) Your alternative from there is the file repair stuff. It is also possible (low probability of occurrence for most people) to get transactions in the database that are just "lost" invisible but are really still there. Sometime you can see these if you do a QIF export and then compare what's in that file with what shows in the register. | There probably isn't anything wrong with Money (at least in this case). Money thinks starting balance is equal to account beginning balance plus any transactions marked R for reconciled. Make sure you don't have any transactions you don't intend marked R.
