| I think use of classifications would be what answers the question. The downside is the extra effort required to enter it which, granted, isn't much. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL "Dick Watson" <littlegreengecko[at]mind-enufalready-spring.com> wrote in message news:u%23vopxjOHHA.4172[at]TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... - quote - > ... | I've added just a few subcategories to vacation. Airfare, Lodging, Food, Ground Transportation, Activities. (More or less from memory.) I also have a classification Vacation with Subclasses for each significant (more than a weekend in the mountains) vacation. E.g., Vacation:Hawaii 2004. | I've been using Money for years and every time I go on vacation I am torn between tracking all vacation expenses as such or categorizing everything the way I normally do (i.e. Vacation: Travel vs Automobile: Gasoline). On one hand I would have a better understanding of how much it really costs to be on vacation and on the other I'd have more accurate numbers regarding specific categories. I guess I'm just wondering what other people's opinions are on this. Please chime in.
