It is not trivial, but not as hard as it first appears. A few
minutes should do it.

First, if you are downloading transactions for one of the versions,
make it easy on yourself by making the one that downloads the
*right* investment, and plan to get rid of the other one which we
will call the *wrong* investment.

In the details for the *wrong* investment, remove the existing
symbol, and rename the existing investment to something you will
never use. Let's suppose you choose zzzz.

Goto investment zzzz and choose InvestmentActivities.
Enter a fake new Buy dated before all other transactions with
quantity more than the total of other transactions.

Change each non-fake transaction to the fund using the drop-down
list. Start with the oldest transaction.

Keep going until there are no more zzzz transactions remaining
except the fake transaction. Delete the fake Buy transaction. At
that point you can "delete" zzzz.

If you are using Money 2007, there is a feature you could try.

If not, there is a place that has all of the transactions for a
stock listed together, and it is generally pretty easy to change
even dozens of transactions one at a time.
