| OK, I can understand Microsoft's reluctance in publishing the dll interfaces and associated sample code because of the support overload. In which case, Microsoft should update its online MSN Money quotes servers to include stock quotes from emerging markets such as India. I have been using MS Money for 10 years now and every time I show it to a friend (or even Certified Financial Analysts) here in India, they are simply floored by the features and functionality. Hardly do they realise that I have to update stock quotes manaulally each day. I say there is great potential for MS Money software to be sold in India if only Microsoft puts the proper MSN Money support for India in place first. I am even willing to be a distributor myself. Will someone in Microsoft repond to this, please? Regards Abhijit Talukdar "Bob Peel, MVP" wrote: - quote - > People have been asking for dll code for 10 years and MS have resolutely > said no. | People have been asking for dll code for 10 years and MS have resolutely said no. For every user who knows what they are doing there are 10 who will blow it. MS don't want the extra support load to support the incompetent who won't fess up that they tried to hack Money - so the answer will stay at NO! -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. | I use MS Money extensively in India and I have the same problem - cannot update quotes online. I have to enter everything manually by hand. now that my portfolio is geting big (:-), I cannot afford this anymore. Is there a way I can write an extension DLL that can attach to Money and download the quotes from a third party web site of my choice. That would solve the problem. If this is possible, I strongly encourage Microsoft to release sample code for the same. | You cannot get the quotes updated via the web since MSN Money does not support Hong Kong exchanges and MS Money gets its quotes from MSN Money. You can Manually update prices and add your own values: Investing - Portfolio Manager - Update Prices - Update Price Manually I would suggest NOT using a symbol for this stock so as to not confuse MSN Money when it tries to get quotes for your symbols (you could place the symbol in the comments field in its Investment Details, for reference) -Mark "Lendsly" <Lendsly[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E26D31F7-407E-40F3-A096-B446804D09BB[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I'm using the Ms MOney 2006 version, I hold a new stock in Hong Kong but I > cannot add this to the software....
