In most places outside the USA M2005 is the latest apart from Japan and
Canada.

I don't know of one. Hopefully some of our international readers will be
able to update with a better answer. But I'd not be holding my breath if I
were you.

Also, as the instructions DW pointed you to suggests, it's better to use a
copy your current *.mny file from your old computer (transferred via flash
drive, network connection, etc.) instead of using the backup (*.bkf) file.

I think you may have to go through an intermediate version. See the third
solution at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913108.

Default Money98 to Money2006 conversion

Is there a way to import, convert, whatever,..the Msmoney.mny (or a backup
file) created with Money98 into Money2006? I tried to Restore From Backup
File using a "backup file" from Money98 but it wouldn't read the file.

I've been using Money98 on my old machine, but my new laptop has Money2006
and I would like to move everything to it. There are quite a few accounts
that go back many years in the old "98" Msmoney.mny file.

Money2006 came as an OEM preinstall, don't have plans to buy Money2007
yet,...maybe later.
