| Okay, I've been using Inesoft Cash Organizer v7.15 for a couple months. No problems at all except the one noted below that delays use of the Pocket PC after a synch (especially if your MS Money file is very large, multi-year). I did have a problem when I purchased a license from Handango.com. The license code Handango gave me didn't work, but I wrote Inesoft tech support (I inlcuded the unique product ID for my Pocket PC with the request)...and they sent me the correct code in well under 24 hours....so all's well that ends well. That's my final report...Inesoft Cash Organizer works well with MS Money and WM5 Pocket PC. -- DG - "Keep an open mind, not a blank one." dg wrote: - quote - > I've been using Inesoft Cash Organizer v7.15 for a few days now and it's > working pretty well. | I've been using Inesoft Cash Organizer v7.15 for a few days now and it's working pretty well. There is an annoying thing that happens periodically...when I add a new payee...it downloads all 1875 some odd payees from my 10yr + MS Money desktop file to the Pocket PC which seems like a lot of unnecessary overhead. Fortunately, it completes the sync process rather quickly and allows you to disconnect your Pocket PC. But at that point there is often a program still running on the Pocket PC as it updates the Pocket PC files with all 1800 some odd payees. That takes a while and is the part I find annoying and unnecessary. But, it's not a fatal flaw. Overall the program seems to work pretty well, it's got a stunning UI, and the synch process with my desktop PC has so far been rock solid except for the thing mentioned above. I'll keep using it until the trial period runs out and report back again at that time. -- DG - "Keep an open mind, not a blank one." | I really appreciate the feedback from folks trying SPB Finance...helps me feel like it's not all me! But the reports seem pretty unacceptable. I'm trialing Inesoft Cash Organizer v7.15 and so far it's working. It accepted my MS PassPort account login info that's needed to access my MS Money account and seems to have stored that just fine...since it only asked for this info once during initial synch. I've entered (a very small amount) of transactions on the Pocket PC and my usual steady stream of transactions on the desktop...and so far so good. The initial synch took a little while - even when I told it to only synch the last quarter's worth of data...but subsequent synch's have been not taken an unreasonable length of time. I'll keep working with this one and report back. Thanks to all for sharing your experiences! -- DG - "Keep an open mind, not a blank one." | DG, I have had similar problems as you describe below. I have an Dell Axim x50v with 2003SE A05 and using active sync 4.2.0 Synchronizing of all the accounts is impossible. Even with a minumum list of accounts (2 checking, 2 savings and 2 credit cards) the synchronization takes forever ans seems to crash from time to time especially when an itme is entered on the Axim. The only way it worked somewhat is when actual money progam was not active and also the Money Background Banking Service was killed from the memory on the PC side. Not really acceptable. PocketMoney was more rebust. I also noticed something else in other programs. As soon as SPB Finance was installed I could not read appointment notes in the calender and contact notes. As soon as I hard reset the PDA and installed everything expect SPB Finance it worked fine. After SPB Finance was installed every notes was unreadible. I believe the notes were not deleted because I sync between two machines and changes in notes are transferred correctly. Probably a font issue. I need the notes on a hourly baiss and I consider these more important than SPB Finance. I also tried another PocketMoney replacement called Cash Organizer 2007 Premium 7.1. But that was even more awful than SPB Finance. Even a minumum list of accounts would not synchronize Any recommendation of the PocketMoney replacement is appreciated. dg wrote: - quote - > Is anyone using SPB Finance successfully? | I guess they don't care about the customer anymore? I had Money 06 synched to my smart phone. The main reason I got a smart phone was to synch to Money and Outlook but now I can't use it for everything I need. MS said I need to upgrade each year to use the online banking feature but took away this valuable tool. It wasn't even mentioned on the MS website as being taken out when I downloaded the new version. |

| Is anyone using SPB Finance successfully? I've tried it off and on over the years and always had trouble. A couple years ago...the issue was it would try to sync my entire MS Money database with the Pocket PC rather than just the last month or so. Since I have 5+ years of data in my MS Money file, this was a disaster. The latest version I tried had instituted a user controlled filter that fixed this problem...I set it to synch only the last quarter and that worked great. The program appeared to be working fine and synched with MS Money just fine...reflecting changes I'd made on the desktop side as expected. But when I tried to enter a transaction on the Pocket PC side (Dell Axim x51v with WM5) the program crashed big time. I eventually uninstalled it -- just as I've done so many times in the past. I'd really like to use this program. It would help if anyone could relate their experience using it with a fairly large MS Money setup. TIA! -- DG - "Keep an open mind, not a blank one." | Don't hold your breath. New versions of Money usually appear July/August with the Pocket PC version a month or so later. Given that we are now 3 months beyond that window the answer has got to be ain't happening this time around. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny.
