The problem was that kobber was trying to open what he thought was a> i've checked the Help-> About and it is showing it as the same version. > any other ideas what the problem maybe? Money 2000 file with Money 2000. I was trying to say that it was probable that the file was in fact newer than Money 2000, and that he would need a newer file to open the file. The solution is to get a version of Money from the same country that is as new or newer than the Money file really is. If he wants to know what version it really is, he could open a copy the file with the Money 2007 trial on some computer. If it was really a Money 2000 file, Money 2007 would create an automatic backup file named *.mn8. Here are possibilities: m16 2007 m15 2006 m14 2005 m12 2004 m11 2003 m10 2002 mn9 2001 mn8 2000 mn7 99 mn6 98 mn5 97 Note that if somebody installs the trial on the same computer, Money 2007 will by default uninstall earlier versions unless the selection to the contrary is made. Since you still have the old PC, you can open Money and do Help-> About to see the actual version. |
