| I came across this same problem today and was able to fix it by going to "change bill settings" in the left panel while in the "Bills Summary". Select the "Advanced Bills" tab option. Although the question was answered much earlier by Mark, I too didn't see the response as an answer to the "Bills Summary" problem since it appeared to be related to the "check register". MSMoney Help doesn't make this very clear either. | Look at my first suggestion again. It sounds like you are in Essentials mode (look at the top right. It probably says Essentials) Switch to Advanced (Change Bill Settings). -Mark "ARW" <ARW[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:56E7DBFF-E866-440E-B956-8B72D74A2126[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I'm not sure that we're talking about bill payment here, we're talking > auto > debit. | I'm not sure that we're talking about bill payment here, we're talking auto debit. For example: my gym membership is $46 a month from North Dodge Athletic Club. That charge appears on the 19th of the month, and is automatically charged to my account. I'd like to set it up as a recurring payment so that it shows up in my Bills (and therefore cashflow forecast) The only option I currently have is "Write Check" as a method for the bill - I used to be able to use "Direct Debt" and this account was never connected to a bill pay service. It's also in Advanced Bills mode already... Help?!?! | Make sure that you are in "Advanced Bills" instead of "Essentials" and also confirm that the account you are paying from is "enabled" for bill payment service (either via MSN Bill Pay or your bank's bill pay serviced that "works with Microsoft Money"). -Mark "ARW" <ARW[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E26A2E6A-8D25-4744-BAC5-2216E8FF00B3[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Same Here - v 16.0.125.1303 Premium gives me the same problem - it used > to > allow me to do Direct Debit but after setting up a new file I only get > "Write > Check" > Help!!! > "Adam Pressman" wrote: > > But no one's answered his question, or mine for that matter, why is there > > only the choice of "Write Check" I have 2007 Premium 16.0.125.1303 > > specifically. > > > Thanks. > > > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > > > In microsoft.public.money, Dinopazino wrote: > > > > > > When creating a recurring bill Microsoft Essential Trial Version - in > > > > Payment > > > > Information, under Payment Method I only have the option to select > > > > "Write > > > > Check?" > > > > > > > Also, under Category I don't see "Bills" are anything that I can > > > > associate > > > > my cable bill too. | Same Here - v 16.0.125.1303 Premium gives me the same problem - it used to allow me to do Direct Debit but after setting up a new file I only get "Write Check" Help!!! | But no one's answered his question, or mine for that matter, why is there only the choice of "Write Check" I have 2007 Premium 16.0.125.1303 specifically. Thanks. | The trial version is fully functional - only difference is that it times out. I think it is MEss. It is severely deficient in its functionality. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. Trial Version, but I would not be surprised that it is a limitation of Microsoft Essentials. I suspect you would find Microsoft Money Deluxe more useful. There is a free trial for Deluxe too, but it cannot be installed with Essentials. If you decide to try Deluxe and later buy, you can get the CD at a store quite reasonably. Sams and Costco have a good price without rebate. - quote - > Any assistance would be appreciated! Thanks in Advance! |

| When creating a recurring bill Microsoft Essential Trial Version - in Payment Information, under Payment Method I only have the option to select "Write Check?" Also, under Category I don't see "Bills" are anything that I can associate my cable bill too. I also don't see an sub-categories associated with Bills, such as Electricity, etc. Is this a glitch? A major miss by Microsoft? Or, is this due to the limitation of the Trial Version? Any assistance would be appreciated! Thanks in Advance! |
