 Re: How can I recover from an very old fashion diskette? Take the floppy and a blank thumb drive to another machine. There is something screwy with the one you were trying it with. There is nothing about a filename that will prevent a copy from occuring. Once you get past that point, yah, there are lots of potential issues related to actually using the file, but it sounds like you are not getting even there.
