Open TAXCUT 2006. Select File/Import Financial Information. One of the options will be to select Microsoft Money with versions from 2004-2007. Select Money and 2007 and follow the instructions. (It just worked for me with no problems). Suggestion: Generate and review a tax transaction report in Money first to ensure you have properly categorized your transactions. --ron |

| DaveS, Read the "readme.txt" that came with Taxcut 2006. It gives instructions on how to properly import Money data. It's a good practice to always glimpse through the "readme" file for any new software. Hope this helps. -Kevin "DaveS" <DaveS[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news A936579-0FF2-4974-8E28-C3FC457C9FF8[at]microsoft.com...- quote - > Money 2007 does not recognize that Taxcut 2006 is installed on my > computer. > When I tried to export it opened taxCut 2005. > So I uninstalled TaxCut2006 and now it just opens the TaxCut web site. > Also, TaxCut 2006 will not import a .txf file exported from Money 2007! > These two programs came bundled together with a rebate offer from Staples. > One might assume they would be compatible. > I'm hoping the folks at Microsoft are reading this and will try to fix the > problem. > Any suggestions? |

That seems to imply that you successfully produced a .txf file from> When I tried to export it opened taxCut 2005. > So I uninstalled TaxCut2006 and now it just opens the TaxCut web site. > Also, TaxCut 2006 will not import a .txf file exported from Money 2007! Money 2007, and you know its name and location. If not, then we can address that I don't have TaxCut 2006 to try this on, but I suspect you would do something like File-> Import-> ImportFromAccountingSoftware and point to the .txf file. - quote - > These two programs came bundled together with a rebate offer from Staples.
While there may even be a tighter coupling available, I would tend> One might assume they would be compatible. to do a separate import even so. - quote - > I'm hoping the folks at Microsoft are reading this and will try to fix the > problem. > Any suggestions? |

| Don't hold your breath hoping. Personally, I'd think this much more likely a TaxCut problem regarding registering their ability to handle the .txf, etc. "DaveS" <DaveS[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news A936579-0FF2-4974-8E28-C3FC457C9FF8[at]microsoft.com...- quote - > I'm hoping the folks at Microsoft are reading this and will try to fix the > problem. > Any suggestions? |

| Money 2007 does not recognize that Taxcut 2006 is installed on my computer. I'm hoping the folks at Microsoft are reading this and will try to fix the problem. Any suggestions? |
