| I fixed the problem. I went into Money, Help, About, System Restore and picked a date prior to the problem. I then reinstalled Money 2007 and the problem was resolved. I think what might have happened was that I had Money open when I upgraded Messenger. Thanks to those who responded and offered suggestions. "Dick Watson" wrote: - quote - > Hmmm. | Hmmm. I've never heard of Money changing the color depth. Interesting. | I don't think this is a Money issue, per se. NetMeeting and many of its descendants (Windows Messenger, et al.) can play very badly with the bits per pixel setting for the entire system when video sharing is involved. Go do some googling about that. Search on something like Messenger Bits Per Pixel. You'll probably find lots of hits. Good Luck. I used to spend hours getting my Win2k system at work back to 32-bit depth for everything after every time I did application sharing from NetMeeting. | I started Money a couple of more times. Each time it starts the screen goes black for a couple of seconds as I previously described. But I have noticed that the color quality has been reset to 8bit. Each time I have reset the color to first 16bit and then 32 bit and Money appeared normally. Whan I closed Money and restarted it the color was again reset to 8bit. I hope this helps. Any suggestions? Thanks "BobM" wrote: - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > > Running 64-bit Vista? > > > IE7? I tried turning off clear type, no difference. Messenger. When I attempted to answer the conference a message popped up telling me to load a new version of messenger. I have uninstalled that program but no difference. Thanks |
