| It worked! Oh, yeah, I'll definitely get a CD from a real store. Staples currently has them for free (after rebate) if you buy the $30 Tax-Cut software package. Last week I took my laptop to work and did windows update (via the high-speed internet connection) for the first time in 10 months. I suspect one of the updates broke my old version of Money. | If it works and if you decide to buy it, please go to the store and buy a real copy with a real CD. It may save a LOT of grief in the future if you need to reinstall. | I have a strange problem with Money2001. I can't open my files. It asks for my password and after I enter it, a box pops up saying, "Microsoft Money has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I've tried opening some backups that I have achirved from clear back from September - still no luck. Any suggestions? If I buy the latest version, what are the chances it will open my old 2001 version file? Aaron |
