| Seabee, Look at your "Account List" are they in red? This is where your amount owed should be a RED negative number. Look at the "Account Register" are they in black? Bank balance at the top right hand of the page should be in black and look like ($XXX.XX). At the bottom right where it says "You Owe: $XXX.XX" should be non-negative and black. If this is not what yours looks like go in and check your opening balances to make sure they are correct. most opening balances are a zero amount. | I have no idea what the deal with mine is. It's an offline account that I have manually downloaded transactions from the credit card webpage. The "Bank Balance" shows a positive value, which is the problem. I had this account set-up on Money 2006 and it was working just fine. When I upgraded to 2007, I encountered this problem. It's not a huge deal to me, just kind of annoying. "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, SEABEE wrote: > > They are both using the Advanced Register. View:AllTransactionsCoveringAllDates,SortedByDate( Increasing) You should be able to look down the Balance column, and spot where the balance goes to the unexpected negative you-owe balance. - quote - > That way when the subtotal is added to the bank and > investment accounts it will give a correct total for the net worth report.. > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, SEABEE wrote: > > > > I have online credit card accounts and the adjusted balance shows as a > > > negative number in the format($xxx.00), which is correct. Are they both credit card accounts in Money?> negative number in the format($xxx.00), which is correct. I also have > offline credit card accounts and the adjusted balance shows as a positive > number $xxx.00. The entries are posted to the account in the same way for > both. Look at register of the account in question, and make sure it is set for Advanced Register. Does it say "You owe $xxx.00)" at thebottom? Is the last number in the running balance column negative (in red)? That may mean that you have a credit balance, or you did not enter one or more of your charge transactions. |
