| It seems that the problem is corruption in your data, rather than in the installation of Money. Some of these kinds of problems have been "fixed" by converting your data to a later version of Money. Try downloading the trial version of 07 and opening a copy of your problematic datafile in it. -- Michael Gordon "Robert Henley" <RobertHenley[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:5B736801-E997-4FAF-A50E-09FDB726859D[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I downloaded Microsoft's Standard File Repair utilitiy M06-Repair.exe > listed > in Article ID 902466. | I downloaded Microsoft's Standard File Repair utilitiy M06-Repair.exe listed in Article ID 902466. I ran it at both levels with the output going to a new file name. | Additional things that I have tried since posting my first message: 1. Downloaded date file repair tool and ran it against my data file - no change in operation. 2. Disabled Norton Antivirus - no change in operation 3. Opened sample.mny data file - Money ran just fine with that file. My data file is approxmately 42,516 KB in size. I am stumped and am looking for other solutions that will work. Regards Robert "Robert Henley" wrote: - quote - > I am running Money 2006. | I am running Money 2006. Today as I was entering transactions, it exited without command. No message like a normal shutdown. When I tried starting it again, it would come up with most of the opening screen but would suddenly disappear without a trace. I am running XP with all the latest updates. I rebooted and tried again with the same result. Any suggestions? Regards Robert |
