Default RE: Unable to sign in online with Money 2007...

I had the same problem (Money reports no internet connection after clean
install of Vista and Money 2007 - even with the firewall turned off)

I got around it by signing in to Money 2007 offline (check the box on the
Money login screen), then once you're in, go to the Tools menu and select
"Sign in with my Windows Live ID" under one of the submenus.

While it's a pain that you have to do this every time you restart Money
2007, at least it allows you to access the online features until a fix is
issued. Following this process, I have been able to pay bills, download
statements, get quotes, etc with no problems.

Sorry for first blank post...

I had the exact same problem - setting Security in IE to "Medium" instead of
"Medium-High" let me sign in to Money! Hope that helps...

It can't be all that far off as Consumers are supposed to be able to get
Vista in January - but exactly when I don't know. Versions of Vista that are
currently released are aimed at Corporates and as Money is a Consumer
product I guess MS didn't feel an urgency to release the patch(es).

This is ridiculous. I go through the entire process of upgrading to Vista,
and now I can't pay my bills because Money 2007 doesn't work with Vista. Any
timetable on when the Vista/Money 2007 patch will be released?

That is what we understand - a Vista/Money patch will be released before
Vista reaches consumers.

I have the some problem for a few weeks with Money 2007 and Vista...
I have tried a thousand things trying to get this working. I believe
it is simply
a bug with money 2007 and vista. If I reboot my computer it will sign
in SOMETIMES
but then it will loose the connection with the quotes server within 10
minutes.
Not only does signing in to Money 2007 not work, but it will break IE7
(Not connected
to the internet)...Then I have to reboot to fix this problem!

I have even tried removing the Money update, but it does not resolve
the issue.

I can only hope that the money team will release a vista patch soon?!
(I would assume before vista releases to the consumers)

Dave

Default Unable to sign in online with Money 2007...

I have just installed Vista Ultimate along with Windows Live OneCare. I have
then installed my Money 2007 and then completed the Money 2007 SP1 update.
I then restored my money data from my Money backup file. Everything in Money
seems to work OK, except I can not sign in online although I can sign in to
my Money file local with no problem. I am getting an error from Microsft
Money stating "You must be connected to the internet to sign in online.".
Now I have a broadband connection and I am looking at a signed in Messenger
Live and have IE7 open and looking at Microsoft's home page. So has Vista or
Windows Live OneCare got Money blocked so it can not get out or something.
Does anyone have a clue as to what is happening with my Money 2007?
