If you are familiar with any version of Money from M98 through M04, you know
exactly what M07 Deluxe Advanced Register looks like. The ONLY differences
will be the colors and trim and the amount of ads on the left. You know, the
important stuff.

Advanced Register is really the old style register used in Money 2004 and
older.
So, it is what you are looking for.

Go ahead and go to the Money Online User Guide
http://www.microsoft.com/money/suppo...rt_manual.mspx and you'll see a
screenshot there:

Money Essentials will only give you the "essentials" view of the various
features (such as the account register)
To get the Advanced Register view, you will need to get '07 Deluxe.

As far as I know that is the penalty of buying a severely dysfunctional
version of Money. You need a version such as Deluxe or Premium. (But I could
be wrong)
