avaible in Poland. Before, I tried to buy full version fron the Microsoft
web. I could not doing it becasue I am not US or Puerto Rico residence. Very
funny. Actually I use polish finnancial prgram but I found MM is much
better althought there are a lot functions I cannot use in Poland.

Having the SpendingByCategory pie displayed for the last month makes
more sense to me than displaying the month-to-date would. The
last-month pie could give some indication of where my money goes in
a month. On the second of the month, that month-to-date pie would be
pretty meaningless. I might feel different if I used budgeting. I
seldom look at the home page, myself. I have Money start with the
Account List.

What you could do is to customize a report as you like it, and save
it as a Favorite. Then create an Icon for that report by clicking
"Shortcuts...". While the report would not be there immediately upon
startup, it would just be one click away.

I would suggest you buy the CD at a retailer. Sams and Costco have
nice prices on Deluxe without rebates. Upgrading on line is easier,
and you definitely would not have to reinstall. However I like the
CD that comes from a store.

If you then go to install the CD, I would try first without
uninstalling. If it wants you to uninstall the existing one first,
it would then say so.

Consider going to a report that you Customize, rather than using the
"home" page for that. Not only can you have customizing that sticks,
there is a richer set of reports available. If you switch to
"Advanced" reports, you get a bigger selection.

I would also rename the "My Money.mny" file to something like
"Marian.mny". Then open that file in Money. That is not at all
necessary, but it would be my preference. Otherwise I would worry
that some new install some day creates a file that I confuse with my
file.
