It will let you Restore your M04 Backup. Import is different and won't help.
Rather than restoring from an .MBF file, just opening the .MNY file from M04
is generally easier and more trouble-free.

Can't say for sure, but I'd bet balancing is assumed to be a no-op in MEss.
What's to balance when the basic usage model is "just take the bank's word
for everything"?

How did you "upgrade" to MEss? There is no path to take in old data from
..MNY files, as I understand it.

Default manual balancing

Please help me avoid regretting my upgrade to 2007 Essentials from an older
version of Money. My credit union isn't online but that's not the problem. In
2007, how can I manage checking accounts manually, more specifically, how to
balance? I can't find a button, menu option or shortcut menu that allows me
to do this and the interface doesn't show a running balance. I'm open to any
help, KB's, URL's...
