These Investment activities should get you the best results:
Reinvest L-Term CG Dist
Reinvest S-Term CG Dist
Reinvest Dividend

They combine a payout--mapping it to appropriate tax reporting stuff--with a
buy. You can put in the share quantity and the dollar value of the
distribution and let Money calculate the share price.

If you are using advanced register, there are transaction types that
correspond to each of those that you can place into the Investment
Transactions register for the account.

Default Mutual Fund Distributions...

Hello all,

looking over my most recent mutual fund statement, there are three entries
titled

"Cap Gain Reinvestment"
"Short Term Cap Gain Reinvestment"
"Income Reinvestment"

Each entry has a number of shares credited to my account. How do I account
for this in Money? Do I treat them all as dividends?

Thanks,
Shhhh
