Since Sample.mny worked, the problem may not be your installation. I don't know if you will run across problems trying to reinstall Money 2003 or not. Perhaps you could try that on a different computer first. |

However I don't expect that it will solve things for you, but I would make that change on the off chance. You might run salv.exe on your file or restore a backup file. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902466/en-uk While you are thinking of it, make another copy of your latest backup file (.mbf) onto other media such as a USB flash drive. Find sample.mny in your installation folder. Double-click the file> hit return, although it briefly goes to the next screen, money then > immeadiately closes. If you then click to go to the Home page and a crash occurs, here is one possibility for such a fix: In Tools-> Settings-> HomePageDisplayOptions Remove the Investment Performance module. | Money closes immeadiately password typed in I can open money to the welcome screen but as soon as I type in my password & hit return, although it briefly goes to the next screen, money then immeadiately closes. I've tried system restore to last point where money was used ok, no luck. Tried virus/spybot detection but problem still there. Tried restoring from back up but as soon as I type in the password it closes down again. Anyone any ideas what might be causing problem? Using OEM edition ver11.0. windows xp sp2. -- redkite |
