Perhaps somebody will have some current experience to share with you. In the troubleshooting with the help of support, you try setting up a free account at http://moneycentral.msn.com/banking/...ts/welcome.asp ? If that works, but the information does not make it to Microsoft Money, that would point to one kind of problem. If it does not, then that would point to a different problem. That information comes in from Yodlee, to the MSN Money and on to Microsoft Money. Many institutions set up some increasingly complex login procedures, and that can make it harder for Yodlee or CashEdge to log in in your behalf. There are just a few people on this thread, and your problem is not the same as each of them. This is not to say you are not having a problem. I don't think it is universal. |

| Cal, I haven't been able to update my bank accounts since early November. I need all of those transactions to complete my taxes. Hence the issue with Money 2007 but with 2006 transactions. My problem specifically is that every time I try to get Money 2007 to update my accounts with Sunmark Federal Credit Union, I get one of several error messages. Once in a while it is "online updates are not available", but most of the time, it is the same as everyone else here (hence my addition to this original post) where MS Money 2007 tells me that "updates could not be completed at this time, please try again at a later time" or "please go to Manage Online Updates and set up your financial institution again". Over, and over, and over. Through uninstall/reinstall cycles, turning off online updates and MSN BillPay and then back on again. Through repairing the Money file both simple and standard ways. Through uninstalling Money manually per the instructions. Through all the KB articles available online and through this forum. Through establishing a new money file altogether and trying to get it to sync up that way............... I've been using MS Money since it first came out, and I don't recall being this frustrated with any version up until now, except Version 4 when it had some "peculiarities" and I spent a few hours online with Money Support and had to delete some files to get it to kick off online updates again with Visa Bill Pay. |

There could be. What is your problem? Is it described somewhere?> Is there no hope!!!???!!! After Upgrading from 2005 to 2007, you can no-longer get statements from your unknown bank? Tax time is for 2006. 2007 transactions don't affect your 2006 taxes, for the most part. |

| Add my name to the list of unhappy 2007 users.. I have been online with support numerous times for the last four days with no help. They even kicked it up to level2....(whatever that is....). Still can't get updates from the bank. | Thanks for the reply Cal. Could you be more specific? My bank says everyone is getting in fine (as have I with that bank for years and years) but that there is a spate of MS Money 2007 users recently that cannot connect to them. ======================================= "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Tamathumper wrote: > > Add me to the lengthy list of frustrated users who can no longer get online > > updates to work with MS Money. | I tried both of those with no change. After hours and hours of work, the only thing I could get to work was to delete the accounts in money 2007, delete them in money central, re-add them in money central, then update and money 2007 would add the accounts. I still have a problem though in that the investment accounts will not show a market value in 2007. It shows in moneycentral but when updated in 2007, it only updates the share quantity, no current price therefore no total market value. I also now need to figure out how to bring my history back into money 2007 from a backup since I lost everything in order to get the accounts set up. (I spent a couple hours on the phone with tech support before I got this figured out. He couldn't fix anything, eventually had me remove and reinstall the program, then gave up when we couldn't even get back into the program. I'm waiting for a call back from tier 2 now.) Everything I'm reading from ther people seems to say that 2007 has a lot of these updating problems. Some even suggest just going back to 2006 version. | Thanks Michael! Here is some more detail about what I'm now experiencing: I thought that maybe I would need to RE-set up online account information for my accounts, so for one account to do as a 'test', here's what I did: a) STOPped using Online Services for the Credit Card Account b) Re-Set up Online Services for the same account When I did this, the last 30 days worth of transactions did successfully download (as I had requested). Good sign, right? But, when I try to manually update the account again, the update never completes. On a hunch that maybe some registry key didn't get created/updated properly when I installed Money 2007 (after having run/uninstalled Money 2005), I completely uninstalled Money 2007 and then reinstalled. The problem persists. So, Microsoft MVP's, any thoughts as to what might be going on? How come an 'initial/first time" account connection works, but subsequent ones don't succeed? Help! Thanks all!! | Hi all: I Just bought online / downloaded / installed MS Money 2007 Deluxe. Before installing, I First Uninstalled the Money 2005 OEM version that I've been using for a couple years. Upgrading my data file seemed to go fine, and I can access all of my accounts in the new version of Money... However, Since the upgrade, I've not been able to update any of my bank accounts online. If I check Only the "Update Stock and Fund Quotes" box, it takes a looong time, but eventually returns an "update complete". If I select Any of my actual accounts, I get a "Update Not Complete" error. I saw another posting indicating that others were recently having problems with the Online Updates. Maybe my problem isn't related to my upgrade at all, but that would be quite a coincidence. Thanks for any ideas! Happy Holidays! ~kerfuffle |
