Hey, that's progress. It implies it is an IE6-related problem.> "offline" > but it never goes away.....online never shows up..........offline > is there with a check next to it and remains there..........tom Perhaps upgrading to IE7 would fix it. Otherwise, perhaps you could repair your IE6 install. Are you using a software firewall, such as ZA? You probably said no already. - quote - > here..........thanks > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, tomlomeo wrote: > > > > Hope someone out there can help.....If been using Money 2005 for about 2 > > > years and have been very happy with and have had no problems until now...Here > > > it is!! > > > > > On the Home page there is an icon in the upper left hand corner which is a > > > globe with a green arrow around this globe..when curser is on this icon...the > > > following words appear: "You are now working off line. I was suggesting opening IE. In IE, click File-> WorkOffline.> know how to undo what I am about to do.......should it not help......OK??? > thanks again To undo, just do it again. It's a toggle. I am not suggesting it will probably help. I am suggesting it as simple, and worth a try. - quote - > "Steve" wrote: > > Other thing is to check out a new windows profile to try this follow the > > below mentioned > > Step1: Go to start> Control panel or Start> Settings> Control panel depending > > on Config of teh system > > Step2: Double click on user accounts > > Step3: Click create an account type in Test for the name and click next > > Step4: Choose Computer Admin and click create account > > Step5: Go to Start> Log Off> Switch User and then open the "Test" Account > > Step6: Open the sample file in this user account and tell me if the globe is > > there or if the ! is > > > > -- > > Steve > > steven_morrison69[at]hotmail.com > > > > > "tomlomeo" <arrowooddrive[at]msn.com> wrote in message > > news:3D134F45-B86E-4FF5-89E5-90132B8487A9[at]microsoft.com... > > > Sorry Steve....the new file "Money Repaired" on the desktop page...still > > > has > > > the globe and is not online yet........You see, when I used the sample.mny > > > file and opened Money 2005 ....the Home page...on the right side , under > > > "Reminders" showed a yellow square with a black exclamation mark and the > > > words "Access your Money data on the Web". | Money 2005 Deluxe has a THREE year life span, so that is not the cause of your particular. The details are in the EULA. When the time is up, the only way to extend the downloading period is to "upgrade" to a newer edition of Money Deluxe (or Premium). Note that M$ has reduced the downloading period to two years in M2007. -- Peace, BobJ "tomlomeo" <arrowooddrive[at]msn.com> wrote in message news:6B09F5E1-0CF8-41B7-822A-2752143A5051[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Sorry.....I'm using Money 2005 Deluxe........thanks again > "Marilyn & Bob" wrote: > > Which Version of Money '05? In IE, select to work offline, and then select to work online. I was hoping that might shake something loose. |
