| I was not trying to point which side of the Microsoft to Third party was not working. I used to use the third party screen downloads and found them so unreliable that I just manually download them myself. I even went so far as to get an account on the third party web site and would see how accurate they were in the downloads. I found Yodlee sometime went for weeks without the ability of downloading the data. Othertimes as it has been pointed out the data went missing in the Yodlee to Microsoft communication so it would appear in Yodlee but not in MSN or Money. And then sometimes the only item in the chain not to get the update was Money while MSN and Yodlee had it. The person who recently identified this configuration as a kludge was correct. When my credit union changed their website it took a direct error report to Yodlee to solve it. I did report it to Money and they said they would resolve it but as you have said they closed out that ticket with it is the fault of Yodlee. I asked them why they advertised that FI in their list and it was removed. You have hit on one of the reasons I will not use the third party connection. I am concerned with the impact of the new law requiring 3 forms of identification that most if not all FI's will have to stop the direct connections until a new method is devised to allow Money and Quicken into them. I have already heard from several of my FI's that they are changing. | Well, it has been working the past few days, then again this morning the updates are unsuccessful! They blame it on third parties but it's Microsoft's program and you would think they would fix it themselves as that is who we are relying on for the service. | Per a Microsoft email, they say it is an intermittenet third party problem that has not been resolved as of yet. | All of my downloads into Money 2007 are direct. None are Yodlee or CashEdge. I have not seen any problems on any of my downloads. I do get what appears to be a time out and it fails on 1 or 2 of them occasionally (normally Fidelity Netbenefits), but a redownload with only those two gets the data. <jit.sarkar.2[at]gmail.com> wrote in message news:1166076333.220613.230730[at]16g2000cwy.googlegroups.com... - quote - > Any updates on this? > Money updates haven't been working for me for almost a week, on any of > my banks (some Yodlee some direct connect) > -Jit > pat wrote: > > I also have this problem. | Update 12/10/06 Well, this morning the update function is working again. My opinion is that it was a problem at Microsoft. What do you think was the issue and will it continue in the future? | I've been having the same problem for about a week with Money 2006. I have exchanged several emails with Microsoft, but they haven't got any ideas yet. They quoted me the error message that states "the problem usually resolves itself in 24-48 hours", but it hasn't. Some of my banks and credit cards are working, but others are not. Is anyone else having similar symptoms? | The past few days I have had problems with the on-line updates. The system simply hangs for a few minutes and then indicates the updates did not work. This only happens for updates to credit cards and bank accounts, not for MSN quotes. Any suggestions...have run quick file repair. Or do I have to restore older file. Thanks Don |
