Thanks very much for the obvious.

* I know it should work or I would not solicit assistance.
* I've used ever crappy version of WMDC including the RTM version.
* I'm well aware that ActiveSync isn't used on Vista.

Now how about a REAL pro from Microsoft actually taking time to
install Microsoft Money 2006 and trying to sync it with PocketMoney
2006 with WMDC on a Windows mobile 2003 PocketPC- is that too much to
ask? You know, testing their own products on their own designed
products?

If you're running Windows Mobile 5, then it won't work as Money for the
Pocket PC is supported on that platform. If you have a Windows Mobile 2003
device, then it should work. Might be worth nothing that a new version of
Windows Mobile Sync Center for Windows Vista is now available, which may
help matters. ActiveSync is not used on Vista

I get the exact same error in Vista Enterprise build 6000. When I
install Money 2006 for PocketPC I receive;
"file(s) failed to self register: e:\apps\microsoft money
2006\mnycorefiles\activedsk.dll". Please notice my install location
on my e:\ drive...

I then try to register the Activedsk.dll myself using regsvr32, and
receive the following error;

"The call to DLLRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80040201".

I am really suspect of the total re-write of Activesync...

Folks, some of us really rely on this little app- any assistance would
be appreicated.

Is Money 2006 for Window Mobile 5 and Money 2006 even supposed to sync
via Vista's sync center? I had thought that Money 2006 for WM required
ActiveSync, which doesn't run on Vista.

Default Money for pocket PC 2006 and Windows Vista

Hello. I can't get to install money for pocket pc 2006 in windows vista.
Everything goes ok installing mnyppc06.exe but fails registering
ActiveDsk.dll. I think this is the reason I can't see money icon on Device
Center content sync settings.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in anvance
