Does Bob Peel or anyone know when they intend to sort it out?

This problem is not Money (any version) but Moneycentral (online service).

M2005 is the latest UK version and there is definitely no UK M2006 and a UK
M2007 seems highly unlikely given previous timelines.

Don't be too discouraged by the posts here from people having problems
upgrading. There are many many other users who have no problems. After all
who is going to bother posting "my upgrade went OK".

It's unlikely that Microsoft will make an update to Money 2003, if it is
only a problem in older versions of Money. In fact you might have receive a
notification that online access to features would be expiring in Money 2003.
Reference the item about expiration on the Network Status page:
http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com...orkstatus.aspx

Have you tried the Money 2007 trial version to see if that works?

The online stuff was changed Tuesday night and a lot of investment pages
either don't work or now are useless. Hopefully MS is working on it.
