The real difference is in the retirement area where you have to select IRA to mimic our RRSPs. I guess it would have taken too much work to change that section... Make sure your Regional Settings in Windows is set for Canada and that in the Money program itself, you have selected Canadian dollar as the base currency under Tools - Options - Currencies. You may have to exit and restart Money for the Canadian settings to take effect. There is more about troubleshooting those settings if you type in Canadian in Money Help. This list was produced by looking at the Microsoft Money Online Financial listings (http://www.microsoft.com/money/onlin...t.asp?FIList=5) and by looking at major Canadian financial institution websites. This is not a complete listing by any stretch of the imagination. Consult your financial institution's website to determine if they work with Microsoft Money. Money Certified: - American Express Canada (Certified/Web Services) - Bank of Montreal (Web Services, it's listed under mbanx but goes to the main BMO website) - CIBC (English/Francaise) (Web Services) - Citibank Canada (Certified/Web Services) - Laurentian Bank (Certified/Web Services) - National Bank of Canada/Banque Nationale de Canada (Web Services) - President's Choice Financial (Certified/Web Services) - TD CanadaTrust/TD Bank (Web Services) Allow for downloading of account details: - Citizens Bank of Canada - HSBC Canada - Manulife Bank of Canada - St. Willibrord Credit Union - Scotiabank - Royal Bank of Canada Questionable: - ING Direct (on the Money list, the link directs us to the site but the site doesn't mention PFM programs anywhere) |

| I just bought MS Money 2004 the "Canadian" version, however all of the banks that are listed in the program and that can be accessed are American, as well most other things are American (spelling, the way that a debit card works in the US as opposed to Canada, ie: more like a cheque). Can anyone tell me what is Canadian about this version or did I get the wrong one? Thanks. Susie in BC |
