| I had no trouble getting the list in January 2005 when I set up Money 2005 Standard or later in 2005 when I added accounts. Been using Money 2006 since Jan 2006 without any account setup problems. -- Peace, BobJ "kcmtnbiker" <kcmtnbiker[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:55071FB4-0C8D-45A5-90D3-E99522047695[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Thanks for the suggestions. | Thanks for the suggestions. I have read the "About" statemet and it doesn't look like setting up a new bank or brokerage is limited by the online services. It seems more to do with communicating with financial institutions or synchronizing with MSN Money. Per the "About" statement, services is limited to two years from date of installation or Sep 2007 (whichever occurs first). Since I just reinstalled the app earlier this week, I don't think I have reached the two year limit yet. I haven't even owned the PC for a year. Can anyone confirm whether they have got the list of financial institutions to display within Money Standard 2005? Money 2006 came out in I think August 2005, so the machine you had only since March of 2006 was probably produced several months earlier. I suggest you buy Money 2007 Deluxe at a retailer. It is inexpensive without rebate at Sams and Costco. There is also a free downloadable trial you could try first. Pay attention during install if you don't want the earlier version(s) uninstalled. - quote - > This has been a problem for about 3 weeks now. | In that case, perhaps the problem is just with the Money server. Hopefully, your request will work in a day or two. -- Peace, BobJ <rebnojunk-newsgroups[at]yahoo.com> wrote in message news:1165265310.434243.131480[at]80g2000cwy.googlegroups.com... - quote - > I have only had this machine since March of 2006. | I have only had this machine since March of 2006. Microsoft 2005 Standard came loaded on the machine so I wouldn't expect the two year limitation to have been reached yet. | 2005 Standard only allows downloads for two years after you initially installed it. Perhaps those two years have expired, which may explain why you cannot get the list of banks. The error message is just incorrect and gives the wrong reason. -- Peace, BobJ "kcmtnbiker" <kcmtnbiker[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:50B767B8-10E5-48B1-B990-EEDFFE64C36F[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I have not been able to access the list of financial institutions when > trying > to set up online service for my branks or brokerages. | I have not been able to access the list of financial institutions when trying to set up online service for my branks or brokerages. When prompted to select the bank or brokerage, I get the message "The list is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.". I have tried all the steps discussed in this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905695 Does any one have any idea how to get the online updates to work? I am using Money 2005 Standard Edition.
