| You are maybe the first poster here who started with MEss. I'm not sure there have been any reports on upgrading from MEss to "real" Money. It may be possible and designed to work. Can't say for sure. If you can upgrade to Deluxe, it would let you fix the second issue. It almost surely will not fix the first. But if you are happy with MEss, you will almost surely find real Money vast overkill. Maybe an analogy is scooter to mountain bike. If the scooter is working for you, perhaps the mountain bike won't be what you were imagining. If you saved the install file for Essentials, you could download and install the Deluxe trial and, having also saved a copy of your data file, try opening it in Deluxe. If you don't like Deluxe, you'd probably end up reinstalling MEss. Again, there have been no reports here on this. | First I'd like to say this almost completely meets my needs; not doing too much but automatically aggregating and updating bank and credit card accounts seamlessly in the background. However, here are the issues: Small rant: Bank of America (WA) fails to sync at times. Manually running update a number of times will usually get it to sync, but this is annoying, especially when I can manually access my account information online. Bigger rant: Occasionally I transfer money to an account not tracked by Money and it forces me to categorize it as either an expense or income when it is neither. This screws up the monthly reports and using "Not an expense" under income isn't a very good solution. I'm assuming an option is to upgrade to Deluxe. Any comments or other suggestions? -- Scott B |
