| I've used the Quick File Repair pretty regularly, and it seems to help with the matching problem I described below. However, I continue to experience this problem. I tried the "standard repair," but I could not detect any improvements as a result. I reviewed the umpmfaq.info site, but am not comfortable with the option of deleting all of my bills. I just don't want to start over with bills, planning, budgeting, etc., at least without a pretty high degree of confidence that it will fix my problem(s) (In addition M06 is much slower and less responsive than the previous version I was using). I just wanted to check-in to see if there were any other fixes out there I could try. If not, can anyone tell me if it's possible to go back to a previous version. I think I was previously using M04. | First, try File-> Repair-> Quick File Repair, and see if it fixes the issue. Second, try the "Corruption" section at http://umpmfaq.info/faq.html. I followed those steps myself and it cured my enormous performance issues immediately. Excerpt: Q) Can you tell me more about the remarkable new Nuke-the-Bills miracle repair method? [Relevant to Money2007 (v.16)] A) Money 2007 introduced a new File|Repair option, File|Repair Money File|Remove all Bills data. (Insiders have been referring to this as the Bills Be Gone method. That seems too polite for the impact it has; Nuke-the-Bills is our favorite term here at the umpmfaq.) This addition was, apparently, an admission that Money can't keep the scheduled bills data sane all by itself. This option has enabled dramatic improvements in performance and significant reductions in files size for some users. At least one user, the author, had serious "stability issues" (i.e., it crashed a lot) under M06 that have not been seen in M07; this may be related to fixes in M07 or it may be related to "corruption" in the file cleaned up by Nuke-the-Bills. I thought there was a KB on the subject, but I can't find it. Perhaps http://support.microsoft.com/kb/182608/PT-BR/. | I'm having the same problem with downloaded deposit transactions. It won't show the right transactions in the change transaction box. The manually entered transactions show the same date and same amount and they don't get matched or show up in the change transaction box. Any solutions ????? Thanks, Dan "T. | I just upgraded from Money 2004 to the 2006 version, and I'm having some trouble with matching. First, Money doesn't seem to be able to match transactions like my old version could. For example, I have an online entry that matches an existing entry letter for letter on the Payee, within 1 day on transaction date, and exactly the same amount, but Money didn't identify these as potential matches. Second, when I go in to try to match the transactions manually, Money does not include older transactions in the list. It only seems to be showing me transactions back a day or two, and then all the future transactions. I've looked through my settings, and other than the date range setting for matches (I have it at 15 days), I don't see anything that could be causing this. Thanks, Todd |
