Jeff
You might take a look at MoneyDance. www.moneydance.com. They do offer a
free download for evaluation.
Not as many features as MM, but not a lot of bloatware either.
Al.

Default Microsoft... you're about to lose a customer

I've been a Money user as long as I can remember (95 or 97 maybe?). But
this latest run with 2007 has pushed me to the edge. I got SP1 installed
just fine (unlike many others here)... but I think it's worse than before I
applied SP1.

My main problem is with intermittent updates w/ my financial institution (US
Bank & Target Redcard/Visa). I know their systems are working fine -
because I've called and also checked the web. I've tried creating a new
Money file, tried using different Passport/LiveID credentials, even tried
setting up the online sync via money.msn.com. All to no avail. This has
been going on for about a week now.

So, being fed up w/ Money... I went over to Quicken's web site. And guess
what, they don't offer a downloadable trial version. I've heard mixed
things about Quicken - so I'm not about to fork over $50 for their software
only to have to fight for a refund later.

Fed up... yep, that pretty much sums it up for me. Don't know what I'm
going to do now - but venting here at least makes me feel a little better
