| Chances are a transaction has been modified (or deleted) since you last balanced. My suggestion would be to accept the starting balance that Money gives you and then enter the ending balance from your statement. Go through the transactions from your statement, clearing them as appropriate. At the end of the process, if you're not balanced, the amount you're off may give you a clue as to which transaction(s) might've thrown the starting balance off and you can proceed from there, as appropriate. Alternatively, you can backtrack through your previous statements and double-check that all transactions are present and accounted for and are marked as "Reconciled" prior to resuming the balancing process for your current statement. | Yes, I am attempting to reconcile the account but receive the message: 'The starting balance entered from your statement does not match the starting balance calculated from your Money records.' None of the two scenarios apply - I haven't skipped a statement nor are any transactions missing from the register. Thank you. - quote - > -----Original Message----- > The previous reconciled balance is not stored by Money, but is calculated by > Money when you start the balancing process by taking the opening account > balance (as found in account details) and adjusting it by the amounts of > reconciled withdrawals and deposits. > Is there a problem you're trying to resolve? > Doug > "Rebecca" <rcsmith[at]yahoo.com> wrote in message > news:403801c37585$e1090230$a601280a[at]phx.gbl... > > > > How do you find the previous reconciled balance amount if > > the amount has inadvertently been changed? > . |

| The previous reconciled balance is not stored by Money, but is calculated by Money when you start the balancing process by taking the opening account balance (as found in account details) and adjusting it by the amounts of reconciled withdrawals and deposits. Is there a problem you're trying to resolve?
