Then I noticed that users of 2005 and earlier recived notices that their
online support expires. This is obsured, unless of course online updates
worked in 2007.

I would switch to Quicken but it just doesn't compare. I do admit that the
problem may lie with the "Third party" companies that Microsoft is using to
get online updates.
