| Thanks Steve! I ask if there is a command line option, and you point me to the registry string. Worked great! If anyone else finds this thread however, they will want to go to: http://money.mvps.org/downloads/patches.aspx to get the correct patch for Money2006, instead of Money2007. In closing, how a mortal (ie, someone without Visual Studio) determines that the crash is due to Lifetime Planner is beyond me! Charles |

| To reset the lifetime planner you can download this patch its just a registry file so just double click on the file within the Zip http://money.mvps.org/downloads/file...lanner2007.zip This will reset the planner for all files -- Steve steven_morrison69[at]hotmail.com "CharlesGust" <CharlesGust[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C6A6A109-FDD3-458A-9014-17BE34524849[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > In Money 2006, the crash is a stack overflow in pfplan.dll. | In Money 2006, the crash is a stack overflow in pfplan.dll. The call stack is full of pfplan.dll!2f433370() The actual report from Visual Studio is: Unhandled exception at 0x775062e7 in msmoney.exe: 0xC00000FD: Stack Overflow The File Version of pfplan.dll is: 15.00.0513 This new evidence makes it less likely I'm observing something like the CitiVAN interaction crash (ie, caused by another application). It appears my MNY file has something in it that causes the lifetime planner to stack overflow. Is there a command line option to zero-out the data being considered by the lifetime planner? | My system is up to date with Microsoft Update EXCEPT I am using IE6 (not IE7). I've also just uninstalled CitiVAN because I read some reports in this newsgroup about problems with Money and CitiVAN. It's XPSP2. Right now, I've uninstalled 2007 and installed 2006. It will crash even in safe mode if I select File.Repair. When I run safe mode with networking or boot normally, even if I request to work offline, it will crash about 30-60 seconds after starting, even if I do nothing. One second I'm looking at the "My Money" home page, and the next, it's gone. The LRD file is still there, but Money is no longer running. There are no messages or dialog boxes. I didnt have these problems with 2005, but it had other apparent problems with looking up online services at financial institutions. That's what started this weekend-killing fiasco with Money 2006 and 2007. All versions are Premier. Does anybody know of applications other than CitiVAN that interact with Money and generate this behavior? |
