Yes, and why is it important? if payee X says they did not receive the payment, then you call the bank and tell them that according to X, the electronic payment to X due Y was not delivered. The bank then investigates, but you are not involved in that investigation. With Chase, I can see the transaction # on their web site; however, again, I don't recall a single case when that number was mentioned in any communication with anyone. Could you give a scenario when it would be important to know? | B> This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the B> suggestions with the most votes. Sweet dreams. Out of curiocity, I checked several areas in that place which have some suggestions - Access, Word, and Outlook. "Suggestions with microsoft response" returned one result in one area - related to the inability to post to that board. Not a single one anywhere about the products. I think the way it works is that some Public Relations department in Microsoft sets up this forum and happily reports that they took another major step towards customer satisfaction. At which time another department, the developers, is busy working on the next release. Buidling the bridge from the forum to the heads of product managers would be another project, and nontrivial one, considering the timing of when the decisions are made, and the necessity for someone to sit down and actually collect and count the votes and analyze the suggestions... quite nontrivial, and no immediate visibility/recognition. I think that bridge is still in the future. Vadim Rapp |

| Microsoft: You need to fix the problem of no transaction ID for an online payment when checking the Payment Status of a completed online payment in the register. Version 2004 would display a transaction ID of 9 characters. Now in version 2007, it only displays "epay" in the transaction ID field. This is important in the event that there is an issue with an online payment. How could it be tracked or verified without an ID? This same issue exists with version 2006. I purchased and installed 2006 last year and immediately went back to 2004 after realizing this ID issue. Because you shut off my 2004 early (with no warning) in regards to online access, I was forced into purchasing and installing 2007. I did not install my 2006 due to this same transaction ID issue which I assumed (shame on me) would be corrected with a new version. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
