Default Re: online Money 2004 to expire

Thanks to all for the info. However, I'm still using "Microsoft Windows 98
(4.10.1998)". Not "SE". Earlier this year in another posting Glyn Simpson,
MVP wrote me that: "Your data should be fine. Money 2006 only is supported
on Windows 98SE and above(per box), so if you don't have the "SE" edition,
it might not work." What do you think? How would you suggest i test it?

Good points.

The Money 2006 box says that Windows 98 SE or later is sufficient.

Cal, note the the OP has Money 2004 STANDARD which, IIRC, only had a two
year sunset provision. So it probably will not be reset. So I think that
he still needs an answer to the question as to whether he can install his
copy of 2006 Deluxe on his Win98SE, Pentium II machine.

1. Open Money.
2. Do an Update Now.
3. Close and Reopen Money.
4. The expiration message in the Reminders section should now be
removed.

The message will come back eventually. When the expiration happens,
perhaps 1 September 2007, you won't be able to download prices or
even transactions.

Default online Money 2004 to expire

In my case I've been using Money 2004 Standard. Today when
I opened my MS Money a message window popped up telling me that "The online
service offering for this version of MS Money will expire on 12/20/2006." I
mainly use the program to keep my investment records & update their prices.
I actually own a boxed version of Money 2006 Deluxe, but never installed it.
That's mainly because I'm still running Windows 98, which doesn't appear to
be compatible with the later Money. Running a 400-Pentium II
machine. Was going to try & wait 'till next year to upgrade to a new
debugged MS Vista machine. Does anyone know if I could run the 2006 on my
current machine? If I don't upgrade to 2006 or 2007, will i really not get
any updated
internet prices on stocks, etc. after 12/06?
