| Here's an excerpt from my recent chat with Money support regarding this issue in Money Business 2003. ==== ....in this case, the reason that the transaction will not match is because it is a payment for invoice. This is a product limitation for this version of Money. The OFX format, is unable to tell the difference between a simple deposit and one that is matched to another transaction (Invoice in this case). When it displays the list of possible matches, it looks only for simple deposits, and is not able to match to the payment since this category is an internal money type of transaction and is no longer recognized as a deposit. ==== Vadim |

| Here's a workaround, if you're interested: Set up an intermediate account in MS Money to hold the Invoice Payments (e.g., an account called "Business Receipts"). Then transfer from that account into your bank account. At that point you should be able to match the transfer transaction with the downloaded transaction. I realize it isn't necessarily the elegant solution, but it should tide you over until a true solution is unveiled. | I am using Money 2004 buiness edition. I received payment for three of my invoices and that payment was added to the correct bank register. Then money downloaded the matching transaction from my bank. No matter what I do it will not match the two up (same date, same amount). 1.. Automatic: It adds it as a new cleared transaction so it shows a double depost 2. Manual: I click on the 'unaccepted' bank transaction and try to match it to an existing transaction. When MS money gives me the list of transactions to match it to the 'manually' entered one is not in the list. I even tried deleting the transaction and MS Money redownloads it evey time I connect to my bank. |
