| I re-opened MS Money, went to Account Settings for my Checking account, removed the FI, clicked done. I then logged into my bank account and downloaded an OFX file and imported it into Money. Money just gave me a message of import complete. "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Linuxidiot wrote: > > Would this same idea work for Money 2007? It should.> issue, and blanking the FI in the account settings does nothing when I try to > import. If OFX Web statements are placed in the wrong account, blank the FI for the *wrong* account in account settings. On the Account List, if there are transactions to read for the wrong account, right-click TransactionsToRead, and then click Delete Statement. Import the OFX file. Money should ask which account to use. Tell Money the statement should go onto the right account. Put the FI for the *wrong* account back. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, Snafu42 wrote: > > > > This is probably a silly question, but can anyone refresh my memory on how to > > > re-associate a manually downloaded OFX file with the correct account? | Would this same idea work for Money 2007? I am trying to correct the same issue, and blanking the FI in the account settings does nothing when I try to import. Blank the FI for the *wrong* account in account settings.> re-associate a manually downloaded OFX file with the correct account? Thanks in advance... Import the OFX. Money should ask which account to use. Put the FI for the *wrong* account back. |

| This is probably a silly question, but can anyone refresh my memory on how to re-associate a manually downloaded OFX file with the correct account? I inadvertently selected the wrong account when I downloaded the statement, and now Money automatically downloads all information to that incorrect account. I'm using Money 2006, and I know there is a simple fix (yes, I've done this before), but I can't remember. Thanks in advance... |
