| The problem with converting the old file then adding the new, is that some of my account history can only be downloaded for the last 2 months, so I will have a gap that would take lots of time to fill. I think for now I will just continue on with 07 and live with the loss of history "- Bobb -" wrote: - quote - > "bwbob" <bwbob[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:6732BAB1-6784-4829-B81A-9B7A54272D8B[at]microsoft.com... > > I recently purchased 07 deluxe and have it working with about 5 months > > of > > history. Do you have them both running on the same PC ? ( I have a C:\Program Files\M2004 folder and a M2006 folder for mine) IF you can easily duplicate your M2007 stuff by downloading from your bank/broker for example. then FIRST ( from Windows - not Money) create a BACKUPS folder and copy your two current .mny files into there. ( For safekeeping) If you only want to use the M2007 folder from now on, 1. From Windows, copy your M2005 mny file into the current M2007 folder. Now open Money and FILE- OPEN and select the M2005 file. M2007 will import the data into M2007 format ( that's why you need your own copy if you ever want to use it with M2005). You now have all your old data into M2007 . 2. Now connect to your bank and import latest checking/charge card/ broker info and you're all done - all of your data is now in M2007 program. Bobb |

| Not at all easily. Even the best kludge workaround, QIF export from one and import into the other, can't cover lots of cases like Loan accounts. | I recently purchased 07 deluxe and have it working with about 5 months of history. I have an old 05 file with data that precedes that. Some data might overlap. Is there a way to combine the two files so that I have a more complete history without major data corruption? |
