Run salv.exe from the Money install folder on your .mny file. It
will check, and perhaps repair, the file.

Salv.exe may be in
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2006\MNYCoreFiles"

The files were .mny files. I'm not sure they were right to begin with
though. I had the Geek Squad at Best Buy back up my files after my PC
crashed.

What kind of files did you save on the CD? .MNY? .MBF? How are you trying to
"open" them? Have you ever tested them before? How do you know they were
right to being with?
