| Never mind. Entering transactions now, in the month of November, for the months of July-December automatically give the current year of 2006. However, for the months of January-June, the year defaults to the next year of 2007, just as it always has in Money. I always enter transactions on a daily basis, but my hard drive died, so I was entering transactions from earlier in the year and noticed this "normal" behavior for the first time and didn't experiment enough to figure out for myself what was gong on. Sorry for the premature post. |

| One other thing to check is to see if you actually have any future dated transactions in the register. Change the View to show "All". -Mark "Joe" <joe[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6605C9A6-10FF-46DE-9F96-FE55543397D0[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > In past versions of MS Money, typing 11/10 as the date became 11/10/2006 > when > I navigated to the next entry, as it should, using the default current > year > of 2006. | Double check the complete system date. Even though the year may be right, the month may not. Also check Windows' Regional Settings to ensure that the date format is correct (i.e. MM/DD/YYYY), or reset it to English (US). | In past versions of MS Money, typing 11/10 as the date became 11/10/2006 when I navigated to the next entry, as it should, using the default current year of 2006. Since I installed Money 2006, the date instead becomes 11/10/2007, even though my system year is 2006 and all other programs recognize the current year as 2006. It's a pain to have to type 11/10/6 to get the right date. I've checked every Money option and searched online, but I've not found the right option or anybody else reporting this problem. Any ideas as to what I need to do to fix this in Money? |
