Default Re: Recurring bills

If the bill exists it will be listed. Have you looked at the annual report
of the new budget, covering the future period, to see if it does affect the
future period as you describe. I think you'll find it doesn't, actually,
despite appearing as though it does.

Advanced Budget and its use of recurring bills is something MS is basically
trying to kill off. The new budget version is the S&S Budget. I tried it
and would like to embrace its simplicity. Unfortunately it totally kills
any ability to validate your plans by viewing the effects in the cash flow
forecast. For that reason, I cannot adopt it.

Because it's broken and retarded? Last I checked, it also ignored start
dates later than the next one in the cycle.

Chris, I realize this but if you've designated a date the recurring bill
stops, why does it still incorporate the amount into the current budget?

Recurring bills are part of your budget, by definition. When you create a
new budget, the existing bills are incorporated into it. You have no
control over that.

Default Recurring bills

I used the recurring bills feature in my first budget in 2002. Now every
year when I create and edit my budget it continues to ask if I want to edit a
recurring bill (and the 2002 amount) or list an additional amount. Is this a
bug in the software? Because each year I don't even copy my old budget I
create a new one - specifically to get rid of this problem but it hasn't
worked.
