You can "merge" all your old Auto-Fuel with the new Automobile - Gasoline
by renaming Auto-Fuel to Automobile - Gasoline in the category manager.
When you attempt to rename Money will ask you if you want to change all old
transactions to the new name and merge them.

I noticed this a week or two ago and like it. Can someone tell me how it
chooses ( guesses) the categories as it's a bit scary that "they " ( the
retailers, Microsoft - and now you ! ) know that I went to Best Buy this
weekend and bought movies i.e. the category was filled in as
hobby-leisure and when I clicked the drop-down movies was an option for
me. Are the categories ( a lot more now than a few weeks ago) a feature
of the online download or did they "update" the Money database on my PC
to include these new categories ?
One more thing ... reporting -wise will the new categories merge with
the old ones. For instance, when I fillup my car at "Gulf" , the
category used to be Auto-Fuel - now the downloaded category showed as
"Automobile - Gasoline". So must I change all the old info to new new
format or chnage the downloaded info to match "Auto-Fuel " ? as an
example -I know I could figure it out but if they're all gonna download
a bit differently than they have it make mess a report a mess with lotd
of duplications ( in which case I'll chnage the new name to the old )
