The problem is a bit confusing for me. Initially my original bank account
was setup under that name but then when I came to setup the bank about via
Online Services (I cant remember how I did it because it was a long time
ago), I somehow created a second account called Bank Account #2. This now
appears under the heading "Financial Institutions that are setup for
background online services". I still have the original "Bank Account" under
the heading "Financial institutions not setup for background online
services". This is the one I want to delete. I dont know if it's closed,
as I don't know where to look and I cannot see it under 'Account List' ....
(hope this makes sense).

I thought that Institutions that do have File Import service should be
grouped together. I have one under "Financial institutions not setup for
background online services" and the other under "Financial institutions that
have no for background online services". The one with "setup" implies that
it can be setup and the other implies that it cant be done, yet I have an
Institution under that heading which has "File Import" under the Services
heading displayed...

I understand what you mean. The problem is that there is an Finanaical
Instition that I dont use / was setup in correctly when I was testing out
this item and not the correct name of the bank - therefore I don't use it.
How do I remove this?

Thanks alot for your help in advance.

Is the account still open at your bank? If not, is the account closed
within Money? If not, what happens when you close it? If the account
is still open at your bank, what difference does it make that it is
listed under "Financial institutions not setup for background online
services"? Isn't that characterization correct? The list isn't there
for you to edit. It's there to provide info on the online services
your accounts are setup for.

Even though you import into the latter one, you haven't used Money to
determine which types of online services are available on that account.
In doing so, you may find that, like the one with no services, only
File Import is possible. But if you're happy with how you're handling
things now, why do you care what it says. If you want to know more,
try setting up online services for that account.

Again, the list isn't there for you to edit or amend without going
through the online setup process.

Default Manage online services question

Hi

Q1. How do I remove an account from under " Financial institutions not
setup for background online services" heading? It is an old account which
I do not use anymore.

Q2. Under "Financial institutions that have no background services", there
are a list of Financial Institutions. How do I amend the Financial
Institutions in this list? The reason I ask is that one Institution has
'File Import' marked as a Service. But I don't understand why I have
another Institution NOT marked as 'File Import', even though I do import a
file into Money, and that Institution is listed under "Financial
institutions not setup for background online services".

I hope that you can help me.
Thank you.
