| I can go to the Principal site and select history and download as MS Money 2000 or newer (something to that effect). I save the download and then import it as a recovered account. | Yes. However, mine does allow download in the form of a Money file which doesn't work either, even when I take MSoft's advice and import it into a cash account. I am going to import it into Quicken, then export it to Money. | Are you trying to download your Principal 401K through MSN Money? If that is the case, I have contacted Principal. | I deleted the online account and created a new cash account. Now I get the "header not recognized" error. So I found the associated fix from MSFT which says to import it into a cash account - I am trying and that doesn't work either. Hate to whine, but man oh man, I never had problems like this with Quicken. Wonder why MSFT has so many online and file import issues? BTW, I left Quicken after 15+ years due to their rotten support for Turbo Tax and their spyware of '04 Turbo Tax. -- MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI AMD64 Athlon 3800+ x2 GSkill 4 x 1GB DDR SATA:WD 74GB 10,000RPM;2x WD 80GB 7,200RPM eVGA GeForce 7800 GT 256MB Enermax 600W ATX Power Supply ThermalTake VA8000 Case "Guilden_NL" wrote: - quote - > The first problem I had is that Money returns my login from the Principal > Financial Group online service as "Wrong password or PIN" which is not > correct. | The first problem I had is that Money returns my login from the Principal Financial Group online service as "Wrong password or PIN" which is not correct. So I figured to heck with it, I'll download from the Principal site. Using either the Money Download File Handler or even just the File import, the Principal account is not listed.
