Thanks, this is what I'm doing. I was hoping there was a more autmatic
way, since this custom report needs to be updated when categories are
added / removed from the budget.

OK i think that answers the question. But I would like the balance at
some time before the payment to determine the amount of the payment,
because that is the way the credit cards work. As it is, all the
spendings I do between the end of the billing period and the payment
date will also be included in the amount used by the DRP, so my bills in
Money will be too large by that amount.

Thanks for your answers

1. You can create a custom report for that purpose but will have to
manually include or exclude relevant categories. The report writer doesn't
know that a category is in budget or not. Once you customize the report,
save it as a favorite.

2. I'm not totally clear on the problem but there is no way to record
closing date, other than when balancing. That doesn't affect the DRP. I
believe only the balance at time of payment determines the payment. How are
you getting a "wrong amount for the bill"? The DRP should estimate minimum
payment pretty well. Can you explain in more detail?

Default Reporting non-budgeted items, CC billing period

Hi all,

I have two questions for you experts:

1. I would like to track what I'm spending on non-budgeted items. Is it
possible to get a report on all non-budgeted items? When I do a budget
report the non-budgeted items appear as a single item called "Other
Expense". I can select that item and see individual transactions but I
would like to have a detailed report on them e.g. Spending by Category.
Is this possible?

2. Is it possible to distinguish between billing period and payment date
for a credit card? I have my credit cards managed by the DRP but there I
can only enter a "Next payment date", not billing period. My credit
cards typically have a billing period which ends in the middle of the
month but the payment is due at the end of the month. This means I will
either get the wrong amount for the bill or a too early payment date. Is
it possible to fix this?

Any help is apperiated
Johan
