Default Re: Microsoft Money 2004 Deluxe

Reply to my own post (why haven't they deleted it yet?):
I discovered the problem was in my data file. The index
investments would show in the sample file, but not in my file. I purchased
Money2007 deluxe via a package deal with my tax software, which is how I
always get it. My data file converted. Problem solved! I'll have to get
used to the new layout, but I like not having to scroll left-right to see
all the investment columns. By the way, it would not install until I
removed 2004. Some twigs for the bonfire:
--I think E*Trade and Ameritrade integrate equally well with Money.
--Economically, it would be in my interest to delay an upgrade until I have
used all the online services time of my prior version of money.
--I want to buy, or lease for 10 years minimum, a software license, not rent
it. An upgrade patch for proir versions should allow access to the new
servers.

Default Microsoft Money 2004 Deluxe

I hope someone has a hot fix for this. I am seriously considering upgrading
to Money 2007 but right now I am concerned that I will have the same
problem. Here goes:

In "Your portfolio"
1.) Click "Add an investment" on the left sidebar.
2.) Click "Investments to Watch" in the "New Investment" popup, then next.
3.) Click "Add an Index" radio button in the next popup, then next.
4.) The "Add New Index" is blank and has always been so.

Any suggestions? Would I still have the same problem if I upgraded? I run
WIN XP.

TIA
