| I agree, but to do that after looking at the "downloaded statement" , I would have to go online, write it all down ( since the "View downlooaded statements" shows me NO detail - just a total.), then compare that with my Money info. That's what I mean - I would think that if they're gonna SHOW me a difference - help me find it. Maybe not. BTW, Fidelity Magellan was just an example: I don't own it , but my point is/was that I can't get a snapshot like I've shown from Money. I'll assume it is a quote error and check it again in a few days. Typically differences in stuff like this have always been related to> Magellan Fund 10,123.45 10 078.68 <- here's the problem > I would think if they're gonna show me a differnece that it would help > me find it, but I can;t find out how. a difference in the share price between what the FI reports and what MSN Quotes provides. I'll bet that if you go into the fund and look up all of the share prices, and compare it to what Magellan thinks the share prices are, you'll find one that is off by a few cents. If you manually update it, two numbers will balance. The issue is that the quotes from MSN money are sometimes just not there or not up to date. I've found that if I wait to do my quote update until after 6pm Eastern time, I get fewer problems like this. |

| It's new month so I UPDATE my accouts, download the dividend info etc and when I'm done I click on "View downloaded statements" and I can see that my rollover account is off. The "bank balance" is 68.13 more than my "local balance". Yet I don't see a way of reconciling that without getting out a pencil and writing down the 2 numbers and then searching thru my register. I've been trying but do see a "show me the details" option. Can someone tell me how to maybe get a side-by-side listing of the DETAILS of the bank vs Money statement, so rather than just the two totals it shows: Rollover account: Bank shows Money shows Money Mkt 10,000.00 10,000.00 Puritan 8855.55 8855.55 Magellan Fund 10,123.45 10 078.68 <- here's the problem I would think if they're gonna show me a differnece that it would help me find it, but I can;t find out how. Thanks, Bobb |
