| Well, I've never seen it offer to take the partial sheet any way but rotated. Not sure if there is a way around this. I did run into a similar situation just last week trying to print one remaining check on a partial sheet in the inkjet printer. No matter what I did, it wanted to print the check starting from the wrong edge of the printer. It insisted on starting at the 8/1-2" edge that moves when I feed narrower sheets. So it prints the check on the inside of the printer somewhere. I believe the solution to my issue, if the printer will cope with wide and short sheets, is to tell it that every sheet you feed is a sheet of three but only print as many checks at a time as the sheet allows. I.e., Print 1 on a sheet of "three" that only really has 1 and feed the top edge--parallel to the check--first. My laser printer will not deal with these wide/narrow pages. The sheet invariably skews and jams the printer. Can't say yet about the inkjet. It surely doesn't like feeding a narrow sheet when the edge guides are set to the 8-1/2" wide sheet. I wish I had a better answer. If you come up with one, let me know. I'm having a similar bad karma situation here. When I have a full page of checks (three) I place the page (8½ x 11)> On the Print Checks dialog, there are button groups for which edge > first. (At least there are for partial sheets.) > What setting is it you are looking to change? into the printer with the first check at the top. This is how it shows it on the print page for the full sheet. Now when I only have two checks remaining I use to be able to place the sheet in my paper feeder the same way with the top (top of the now first check) first; but now I must rotate it so the to top is now to the left (or right) side of the paper tray. I find it much more convenient to always place the blank check(s) in the tray the same way no matter how many remain ( 1 2 or 3). If use to function that way, and I would like to get it back. Note: the images for the partial sheet checks were displayed in the same orientation as I was entering them previously and now they are displayed rotated 90º. The full sheet has been displayed the same with both versions of the program. I have even tried re-installing the printer and driver. - quote - > Maybe the printer setup options outside of Money in printer > properties? > "Joseph Meehan" <sligojoe[at]hotmail.com> wrote in message > news:O4Q0erO$GHA.4300[at]TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > > Dick Watson wrote: > > > There's a settings page somewhere. | Maybe I still don't understand your issue. On the Print Checks dialog, there are button groups for which edge first. (At least there are for partial sheets.) What setting is it you are looking to change? Maybe the printer setup options outside of Money in printer properties? | There's a settings page somewhere. You can also get to it from the print checks dialog options button. They get munched in the upgrade. Sad. But it's been that way for many versions. Save the settings in a file. | I had been using the Small Business version, I believe it was 2005. I just switched to the deluxe 2007 version. In the past I was able to pint wallet checks, which come three on a page by loading in the full or part ( one or two checks left on the page) the same way as the first. Now I need to rotate the forms when I put them in the printer (HP Laser 1000). I would like to get back to where I was. I don't recall if I had to make some sort of adjustments before to be able to load all blank check forms in the same orientation or not. Note: While all my financial data and many of my preferences were imported, it appears that my check printing instructions were not imported. Any suggestions would be appreciated. -- Joseph Meehan |
